Does DPFES issue work visas?

No. Visas are issued strictly by embassies and consulates of destination countries.

What is the NOEERCC?

The National Overseas Employment Eligibility & Civic Responsibility Clearance Certificate (NOEERCC) is an official document issued by the Government of Cameroon certifying that a citizen has met all civic, legal, and professional compliance requirements needed to pursue structured and reputable employment opportunities abroad.

Why is the NOEERCC required?

It ensures that Cameroonian citizens seeking overseas employment meet established standards, have no disqualifying legal issues, and are eligible for safe and verified recruitment processes. Many foreign employers and embassies require this clearance before considering job applications or granting work visas.

What documents are required for the application?

Only a National ID card or valid passport and a Passport-sized Photograph are required to apply.

How will I know if my application is approved?

You will receive notifications through: Email, SMS (if activated), Your online dashboard

Who requires a NOEERCC?

Any Cameroonian citizen aged 18 or above who intends to work in an approved foreign country through formal recruitment channels.

How long does it take to process?

Typically 1 to 3 working days, depending on verification complexity.

Can I apply at a physical office?

Yes. DPFES's office in Garoua provide in‑person application assistance.

Are processing fees refundable?

No. Fees cover administrative verification and are non-refundable.
